PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Members and Colleagues,

It is with great pride and immense gratitude that I address you today as the President of the Philippine Nurses Association of Austin. Our organization stands as a testament to the dedication, skill, and compassion of Filipino nurses who have chosen to make Austin their home and professional base.

Over the past year, we have faced unprecedented challenges. Yet, through it all, you have demonstrated remarkable resilience and unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care to our community. Your efforts have not only saved lives but also inspired hope and compassion in the hearts of those we serve.

As we move forward, I am excited about the opportunities ahead. Our mission to support, uplift, and advocate for Filipino nurses remains more vital than ever. We are committed to providing continuing education opportunities, fostering professional growth, and creating a supportive network for our members. We will continue to engage in community outreach programs, promoting health and wellness, and sharing our rich cultural heritage with the broader Austin community.

In the coming year, we will focus on several key initiatives:

1. **Professional Development:** Expanding our educational programs and workshops to help our members stay at the forefront of nursing practice.

2. **Advocacy:** Strengthening our voice in local healthcare policy discussions to ensure that the concerns and needs of nurses are heard and addressed.

3. **Community Engagement:** Enhancing our outreach efforts to support the health and well-being of the Austin community, particularly underserved populations.

4. **Cultural Celebration:** Organizing events that celebrate our Filipino heritage, fostering a sense of pride and unity among our members and the community at large.

None of this would be possible without the dedication and support of each of you. I am deeply grateful for the hard work of our board members, volunteers, and all our members who contribute their time and talents to our association. Together, we are not only advancing our profession but also making a significant impact on the health and well-being of our community.

Let us continue to support each other, share our knowledge, and uplift our spirits as we navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead. I am honored to serve as your President and look forward to working together to achieve our shared goals.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication and commitment.

Sincerely,

Noravil Guzman Tamayo, BSN, RN
