ABOUT US


The Philippine Nurses Association of Austin, Texas (PNAATX) is a significant professional organization that represents Filipino nurses in the Austin area. Established as a local chapter of the larger Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA), it aims to support and advance the interests of Filipino nurses through advocacy, education, and community service.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND


In August 2019, PNAATX was founded in response to the growing number of Filipino nurses in Austin and surrounding areas. Initially established in December 2019 as a subchapter of the Philippine Nurses Association of San Antonio (PNASA), it seeks to create a sense of community and provide a support network for its members. PNAATX held its first induction of Officers and Board of Directors on February 15, 2020. The most celebrated and historic event took place on April 13, 2023 when PNAATX was announced the 53rd Chapter of PNAA. The organization is dedicated to promoting the professional development of Filipino nurses, ensuring that they have access to opportunities for continuing education, leadership training, and career advancement.
