Aside from past events hosted by the Philippine Nurses Association Austin TX, we also reached out to our countrymen locally and in the Philippines providing them financial support through fundraising, emotional support to members affected by the Pandemic, legal advise concerning employment issues and reconnecting with members through tokens of appreciation. Please continue to support us as we work with other organizations and the community to share PNA ATX mission and vision.
February 28, 2020 Donated to the Filipino American Catholic Community (FACC) of Austin - PNA ATX pledged $500.00 for their fundraising project. The cash donation was diverted to help Filipino communities who were affected by COVID (completed in May 2020). May 2020 Nurses' Week Celebration - Through generous donations of members, we distributed gift cards for PNA ATX members as a token of appreciation for their nursing service. 2020 COVID relief - As frontliners, we were greatly affected by the Pandemic. PNA ATX representatives distributed grocery items and provided emotional support to members affected by COVID. 2020 Networking - Membership benefits include networking. Windows of opportunities open to help PNA ATX members to secure employment through networking with other organizations and hospitals. 2020 Legal Support - Legal advice provided to our members concerning employment issues.
